Will Davenport, a native of Atlanta, GA, was introduced to music and fell in love with it at as a child in his church choir. With nothing in his hand but a black chorded microphone covered with a red sponge, Will began singing his way into the hearts of everyone who heard him. His soul-stirring voice coupled with his passion for the lyrics in his songs have attracted the attention of music executives, entertainers, and entertainment lovers. Once a member of the boy band, Immense, Will has showcased for the likes of R&B superstar R. Kelly and Excel Records and immediately began writing music and lyrics while in the band. Will later left Atlanta to study Engineering at Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN. While in college, Will picked up guitar playing and began winning numerous talent shows. He even won Embassy Records’ national talent search and an opportunity to be a singer/songwriter for R&B superstar Neyo's record label, Compound Entertainment. After a summer with the label, Will returned to school and was chosen to open for celebrity singers Laura Izibor, India Arie and Raheem DeVaughn. Today, Will plays the piano, guitar, and organ and has also been recognized for his acting talents. Will was casted to co-star in the hit gospel stage play, A Mother’s Prayer, alongside entertainment stars Johnny Gill, Robin Givens and Shirley Murdock which has aired numerous times on BET. He strives to share his gift with the world with universal and timeless themes and lyrics. Will can currently be seen performing regularly in Nashville, the Music City. Whether it be a two minute solo or a two second solo, give it to Will, and he will definitely sing the metal off of the mic.
