A NIGHT OF ROCKIN' COUNTRY

MITCH ROSSELL
Mitch Rossell, originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, made the move to Nashville in 2009, when he graduated from the University of Tennessee- Chattanooga. He is currently a regular in Music City’s most popular establishments, such as Tootsies, Rippy’s, Honky Tonk Central, and Third and Lindsley. He has been on the fast track since his arriving in Nashville. Mitch also books regular gigs outside of Nashville, traveling for much of the year in an effort to touch as many fans as he can.

At 25, Mitch has refused to bow to typical industry pressures. He has been approached several times to try out for popular Reality-TV Shows such as “The Voice and America’s Got Talent,” but Rossell believes he can make it the old fashioned way—with pure talent, strong song writing, selling records independently, increasing his booking schedule, and merchandizing. He has already written over 250 songs, and fans say his abilities are increasing with every one he writes. Mitch currently spends most mornings, when he is in town and not out on the road touring, writing with some of the biggest-song writers in country music such as: Monty Criswell, Mark Nesler, Odie Blackmon, Tim Menizies, Pat McLaughlin, Bill Luther, Shane Minor, Mark Beeson, and Ben Stennis.

Rossell maintains a consistent online presence that has allowed his fans to keep up with his happenings and new music: Mitch is a regular contributor on YouTube. He has over 65 videos of covers and originals, garnering over 24,000 subscribers and 6.5 million-collective-video views. He has also made quite an impression on several big stars in country music. He teamed up with Eric Church and Dick Clark Productions prior to the American Country Music Awards (ACMs) in 2011 in a “Duets” series. Rossell also hit it off with superstar group Zac Brown Band last year. He was contacted by John Driskell Hopkins and has kept in touch with many members of the band since and many have played on his studio records; as well as building relationships with Brad Paisley’s fiddle player-Justin Williamson, steel guitar- Randle Currie, drummer- Ben Sesar, and Jason “Slim” Gambill-lead guitarist for multi-platinum Capitol Nashville recording artist Lady Antebellum; all of which play on Rossell’s studio records and at live events with him in town and on the road as their schedule permits.

In 2011, Rossell formed an independent-music label with his long-time friend and manager Josh Logan. Together they have continued to build the Mitch Rossell brand. Rossell has several singles and music videos he plans to release before the end of 2013. He also has a new album planned for the first quarter of 2014 with supporting music videos and a southeastern radio tour.

Rossell is widely known for his accessibility and friendly demeanor. Through his social media channels, Mitch makes a consistent effort to all answer questions and comments, and keep fans informed about new music or events. Rossell says he plans to keep that up for as long as he is able to, and remains humbled by it all.
